For those who want to consider non-surgical procedures, we offer several options, from Botox® to medical tattooing. These are performed by our specialist – Susan Watson-Neimy, RN. She has years of extensive experience using injectable dermal fillers and Botox to improve facial wrinkles, sclerotherapy to treat spider veins, and medical tattooing for permanent makeup, scar camouflage and nipple/areola restoration.
Injected into the facial muscles, Botox improves the look of frown lines within days. The procedure takes approximately 10 minutes, requiring only a cold pack or anesthetic cream before injection. Results can be seen within days and can last up to four to six months.
In use since the 1930s, sclerotherapy is a medical procedure used to eliminate varicose veins and spider veins. A saline solution is injected directly into the vein causing it to gradually fade from view.
If you wish to restore fullness to your face, plumpness to your lips or want to soften creases and wrinkles, dermal fillers may be the answer. Sometimes referred to as “liquid facelifts,” injectable fillers can often replace surgical procedures, reducing both cost and downtime. However, the results of soft tissue fillers are not permanent and need to be repeated and maintained.
There are a wide variety of uses for micro pigmentation, or medical tattooing, of the skin. Medical tattooing can be used for permanent makeup to hide birthmarks, mask skin conditions and camouflage post-trauma and post-surgery scarring. Reconstructive tattooing is also used to recreate a nipple and areola for post-mastectomy patients.
