A graduate of Harvard University and the Mt. Sinai School of Medicine, Dr. Terranova completed general surgery and plastic surgery training at Stanford University and the University of Virginia. He also completed fellowships in hand surgery and craniofacial surgery (treatment of birth defects).
He joined the faculty at MUSC in 1986 and entered private practice in 1990. He is currently in solo private practice dedicated largely to aesthetic surgery.
He also holds an appointment as Clinical Associate Professor at the Medical University of South Carolina.
Certified by the American Board of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Terranova has also served as a volunteer surgeon on International Relief Missions for the Interplast Organization.
Despite all his honors and accolades, Dr. Terranova is most proud of his history of patient satisfaction. “We want each patient to look back on the experience and have no regrets,” he says. “Satisfaction is what it’s all about.”
