William Terranova, M.D.
Dr. Terranova has practiced in Charleston since 1986.
A graduate of Harvard University and the Mt. Sinai School of Medicine, he completed General Surgery and Plastic Surgery training at Stanford University and the University of Virginia.
He was awarded additional fellowships in Hand Surgery and Craniofacial Surgery (treatment of Birth Defects).
He holds an appointment as Clinical Associate Professor at the Medical University of South Carolina.
He has been a Volunteer Surgeon on International Relief Missions for the Interplast Organization.

Our Staff
Deborah Smith, Office Manager and Patient Representative, has been with Dr. Terranova for almost a decade. She is well versed in all aspects of the various procedures we perform and will help each patient will all the financial considerations.
Sara Curry, RN, oversees the operating suite and sees to pre- and post-operative teaching.
Every member of our staff feels very strongly about the work we do, and enjoys the interaction with our patients. Many of our patients count our staff members as their personal friends.
Our Facilities
Our office is located in the Lake Shore Office Park in the Elms Plantation, just off Highway 78 and Elms Plantation Boulevard. Our state-of-the-art office offers the utmost in privacy, convenience, and safety.
Our operating suite meets all the regulations set forth by the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities. Most procedures can be performed in our operating suite, maximizing privacy, efficiency, and cost saving to the patient. Our quality assurance program insures maximal patient safety.
More complex procedures are performed at the outpatient facilities of the Charleston Surgery Center. Patients requiring inpatient surgery and hospitalization are admitted to Trident Regional Medical Center.
